Gratuity Calculator

Retirement Gratuity Rules
Retirement Gratuity is payable to a retiring employee under Rules 60-65 of the Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) Rules 1996.

Pension Commutation Rules

GPF Rules & Interest Calculation
General Provident Fund (GPF) deductions are made from the salaries of Rajasthan State Government employees. It is a retirement savings scheme with interest rates declared periodically by the government.
Interest Calculation Rule
- Interest is calculated on a monthly basis. The interest is computed on the closing balance at the end of each month as per the government-prescribed rate.
- Monthly interest formula: (Closing Balance of Month × Interest Rate) / 1200
- Total monthly interest is rounded to the nearest rupee.
- The interest accumulated across the 12 months is added to the principal balance at the end of the financial year, which then forms the opening balance for the subsequent year.
Important Guidelines
- Minimum Contribution: A minimum deduction of 6% of the employee's Basic Pay is mandatory.
- Maximum Contribution: An employee can contribute up to their full basic salary, subject to tax-free interest limits.
- Tax-Free Limit: Interest earned on annual GPF contributions up to ₹5 Lakhs in a financial year is completely tax-free. Interest earned on contributions exceeding ₹5 Lakhs is subject to income tax.
